Durga Saptashati

The Durga Saptashati — seven hundred verses from the Markandeya Purana, also known as the Devi Mahatmyam or Chandi Path — is the foundational scripture of Goddess worship. Across thirteen chapters it narrates Maa Durga's victories over Madhu-Kaitabha, Mahishasura and Shumbha-Nishumbha. It is recited in full during Navratri and in the Chandi homa. Presented here are all thirteen adhyayas together with the traditional angas — Kavacham, Argala, Keelaka and the Rahasyas — with Hindi and English meaning.
