Adiveda is a quiet, careful corner of the internet for Sanatana Dharma. The name comes from Adi Veda — the primordial, original knowledge. That’s the spirit we try to keep: ancient wisdom, presented plainly, for anyone who wants to read, recite or understand it.
We started with a simple frustration. Too much of our sacred material online is either inaccurate, hard to read, locked behind ads, or available in only one language. We wanted somewhere you could trust — where a verse is transcribed faithfully, you can actually understand it, and nothing gets in your way.
What we do
- A devotional reading library — chalisas, aartis, kavachams, mantras, the Durga Saptashati and more, each in Devanagari with Roman transliteration, simple phonetics, and meanings in Hindi and English.
- Cosmic Tales — the stories of the gods, goddesses and avatars, retold clearly and with care, drawn from the Puranas and the epics.
- The blog — practical guides to the zodiac signs (Vedic, sidereal), the 27 nakshatras, and Indian numerology, written to be genuinely useful.
- Astrology services — personal Vedic birth-chart readings, prepared by hand from your exact birth details.
- A bookshop — a curated shelf of texts and translations worth owning.
How we’re different
- Verified and accurate. Every sacred text is transcribed faithfully and cross-checked against trusted sources before it’s published. We’d rather go slow than get it wrong.
- Multilingual by design. Devanagari, Roman transliteration, simple phonetics, a Hindi meaning and a clear English one — so the words are open to everyone.
- Free to read. The whole library is open, ad-light, and built to load fast on any phone.
- Rooted in tradition. The content draws from the Puranas, the epics and the living practice of Sanatana Dharma — not loose interpretation.
Our promise
We take accuracy seriously, especially with sacred text. Where a tradition varies, we try to say so rather than pretend there’s one neat answer. And the reading library will always stay free.
Come in
Have a wander through the reading library, read a few of the Cosmic Tales, or — if you’d like a chart read for you personally — book a Vedic reading. If you ever spot an error or want to say hello, the contact page is right there.
