Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on adiveda.in (the “Site”), who sets them, and the choices you have. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device when you visit. “Similar technologies” include pixel tags, web beacons and browser storage. For simplicity this policy calls all of them “cookies”.

2. Cookies set by the Site itself

For ordinary visitors, Adiveda’s own software sets no cookies. You can read every page, use the search, the numerology calculator and the contact form without one.

WordPress login cookies (wordpress_logged_in_*, wp-settings-*) are set only for site administrators who sign in to manage the Site.

3. Cookies set by third-party services

The Site uses the services below. Each is operated by the named company under its own privacy policy.

a. Google Analytics (analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, which pages are read and how visitors move through the Site. Where analytics storage is permitted it sets:

CookiePurposeTypical lifetime
_gaDistinguishes one browser from anotherUp to 2 years
_ga_<ID>Keeps the state of the current visitUp to 2 years

Google Analytics receives technical information such as your IP address (used to estimate a general location and not stored by Google Analytics 4), browser and device type, the pages you view and the page you came from.

b. Google AdSense (advertising)

The Site carries Google AdSense advertising code. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Where advertising storage is permitted, Google may set or read cookies such as:

CookiePurposeTypical lifetime
__gads, __gpi (set on adiveda.in)Ad delivery, frequency limits and measurementUp to 13 months
__eoi (set on adiveda.in)Security and fraud prevention for adsUp to 6 months
IDE, test_cookie (set on doubleclick.net)Ad delivery and personalisation; checks whether cookies are supportedUp to 13 months

Depending on your location and your choices, ads may be personalised (based on your interests) or non-personalised (based on the page you are reading and your general location). Google and its advertising partners may also use web beacons and your IP address to deliver ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and detect invalid activity.

You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com, and from many other advertising vendors at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.eu. To see how Google uses information from sites that use its services, visit policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

c. Hostinger Reach (email sign-up component)

Our hosting provider’s email component loads a small script from cdn-reach.hostinger.com. Its security layer (Cloudflare) may set a short-lived cookie, __cf_bm, on the hostinger.com domain to tell people from automated traffic. It lasts about 30 minutes.

d. Services that receive technical data without setting cookies here

  • Google Fonts — the Site’s typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details in order to send the font files.
  • Amazon — book cover images in the bookshop are loaded from Amazon’s servers. If you follow a “Buy on Amazon” link, Amazon sets its own cookies on Amazon’s site, including one that credits a qualifying purchase to Adiveda (see our Affiliate Disclosure).

We do not use social-media tracking pixels such as the Meta Pixel or the LinkedIn Insight Tag.

4. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland

For visitors in these regions the Site uses Google consent mode with every storage type set to denied by default. In practice this means that, unless and until you give consent:

  • Google Analytics and Google advertising cookies are not set or read on your device;
  • Google receives only limited, cookieless signals (for example that a page was loaded), which are not used to build an advertising profile;
  • any advertising shown is non-personalised.

Where a Google consent message is presented to you, you can accept, refuse or adjust these choices in it, and change them again later through the privacy settings link that the message provides.

5. Visitors elsewhere

Outside those regions, the analytics and advertising cookies described in Section 3 are set when you visit, and you can control them at any time using the options in Section 6.

6. How you can control cookies

  • Browser settings. Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies, including third-party cookies: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
  • Google Analytics. Google offers a browser add-on that stops Analytics from recording your visits: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • Personalised advertising. Use Google’s Ads Settings or the industry opt-out pages listed in Section 3.
  • Mobile devices. iOS and Android let you reset your advertising ID and limit ad tracking in system settings.

Blocking these cookies does not stop any part of the Site from working.
