The central mantra of Shakta worship, used in all Devi puja and in the recitation of the Durgasaptashati. The nine syllables (Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vicche) invoke the triple power of Mahasaraswati, Mahalakshmi, and Mahakali in the form of Chamunda. Recited at the beginning and end of each chapter of the Durgasaptashati.

ॐ ऐं (महासरस्वती) ह्रीं (महालक्ष्मी) क्लीं (महाकाली) — चामुण्डा (देवी) को, विच्चे — दुर्गा का नवार्ण (नौ-अक्षरी) मन्त्र।
