सद्गुण वैभव शालिनी, त्रिभुवन विख्याता॥

हे सरस्वती माता! आपकी जय हो; आप सद्गुणों और वैभव से शोभित, तीनों लोकों में विख्यात हैं।
Om, glory to Mother Saraswati; O Mother, glory to you. Endowed with virtues and splendour, renowned throughout the three worlds.
चन्द्रवदनि पद्मासिनि, द्युति मंगलकारी।
सोहे शुभ हंस सवारी, अतुल तेजधारी॥
candravadani padmāsini, dyuti maṃgalakārī | sohe śubha haṃsa savārī, atula tejadhārī ||
Chandravadani padmasini, dyuti mangalkari | sohe shubh hans savari, atul tejdhari ||
चन्द्रमुखी, कमल पर आसीन, आपकी द्युति मंगलकारी है; शुभ हंस की सवारी शोभती है और आप अतुल तेज धारण करती हैं।
Moon-faced, lotus-seated, radiant and auspicious. Beautifully mounted on the white swan, bearer of incomparable splendour.
बाएँ कर में वीणा सोहे, दाएँ कर माला।
शीश मुकुट मणि सोहत, गल मोतियन माला॥
bāeṃ kara meṃ vīṇā sohe, dāeṃ kara mālā | śīśa mukuṭa maṇi sohata, gala motiyaṃ mālā ||
Baen kar mein veena sohe, daen kar mala | shish mukut mani sohat, gal motiyan mala ||
बाएँ हाथ में वीणा शोभती है और दाएँ हाथ में माला; सिर पर मणिजटित मुकुट और गले में मोतियों की माला सजती है।
The veena shines in your left hand; a rosary in your right. A jewelled crown adorns your head; a pearl necklace graces your throat.
देवी शरण जो आए, उनका उद्धार किया।
पैठी मंथरा दासी, रावण संहार किया॥
devī śaraṇa jo āe, unakā uddhāra kiyā | paiṭhī maṃtharā dāsī, rāvaṇa saṃhāra kiyā ||
Devi sharan jo ae, unka uddhar kiya | paithi Manthara dasi, Ravan sanhar kiya ||
जो देवी की शरण आए, उनका आपने उद्धार किया; (बुद्धि बिगाड़नेवाली) मंथरा दासी में पैठकर रावण का संहार कराया।
Those who come to the goddess for refuge she uplifts. Even through the wretched Manthara she entered and brought about Ravana's destruction.
विद्या ज्ञान प्रदायिनि, ज्ञान प्रकाश भरो।
मोह अज्ञान और तिमिर का, जग से नाश करो॥
vidyā jñāna pradāyini, jñāna prakāśa bharo | moha ajñāna aura timira kā, jaga se nāśa karo ||
Vidya gyan pradayini, gyan prakash bharo | moh agyan aur timir ka, jag se nash karo ||
हे विद्या और ज्ञान देनेवाली! ज्ञान का प्रकाश भर दीजिए; मोह, अज्ञान और अन्धकार का जग से नाश कर दीजिए।
Bestower of learning and wisdom, fill us with the light of knowledge. Destroy from the world delusion, ignorance, and darkness.
धन्य सरस्वती माता, जग की मंगलकारी।
आरती नित्य गावत, भक्त मुक्ति को पारी॥
