An eight-verse hymn in praise of Gaṇeśa set within a tantric framework, incorporating bīja mantras (seed-syllables) into each verse. Each stanza opens with tantric bījas — Oṃ, Vaṃ, Tuṃ, Klīṃ, Hrīṃ, Lauṃ, Ḍaṃ, Huṃ and others — while meditating on a different divine aspect of Gaṇeśa. The sixth verse describes the yantra (sacred diagram) for Gaṇeśa worship. Verses 7 and 8 together declare the fruits of devoted recitation. The complete cycle of eight verses is prefaced by two dhyāna (meditation) verses. Recited at dawn, it is said to bring fulfilment in all endeavours.

हरतु कुलगणेशो विघ्नसङ्घानशेषान् नयतु कुलसपर्या पूर्णतां साधकानाम् । पिबतु बटुकनाथश्शोणितं निन्दकानाम् दिशतु सकलकामान् कौलिकानां गणेशः ॥

कुल-गणेश साधकों के समस्त विघ्न-समूह हर लें; कुल-पूजा को पूर्णता तक पहुँचाएँ; बटुकनाथ निन्दकों का रक्त पी जाएँ; और गणेश कौलिक साधकों की समस्त कामनाएँ पूर्ण करें।
May Kula-Gaṇeśa destroy all the gathered hordes of obstacles; may he lead seekers to perfect fulfilment in their kula-worship. May Baṭukanātha drink the blood of detractors; may Gaṇeśa grant all desires to the kaula devotees.
विघ्नेशं परमं परात्परतरं सिन्दूरसर्वाङ्कितं मुक्ताविद्रुमहेमभूषणयुतं मन्दारमालार्चितम् । आनन्दं च मनोहरं शुभकरं पाशाङ्कुशेः शोभितं ध्यायेद् विघ्नविनाशनं सुखकरं गौरीसुतं तं नमः ॥

जो विघ्नों के ईश, परात्पर से भी परे, सर्वांग में सिन्दूर से अंकित, मोती-मूँगा-स्वर्ण के आभूषणों से युक्त और मन्दार की मालाओं से पूजित हैं; जो आनन्दस्वरूप, मनोहर, शुभकारी और पाश-अंकुश से शोभित हैं — उन विघ्नविनाशक, सुखकारी गौरी-पुत्र का ध्यान करे; उन्हें नमस्कार।
Meditate on Vighneśa, the supreme, beyond all that is beyond, anointed wholly with vermilion, adorned with pearls, coral and gold, worshipped with garlands of mandāra flowers — blissful, captivating, auspicious, shining with noose and elephant-goad: may that son of Gaurī, destroyer of obstacles, bringer of joy — to him I bow.

oṃ oṃ oṃkāra-rūpaṃ tryaham iti ca paraṃ yat-svarūpaṃ turīyaṃ / traiguṇyātīta-līlaṃ kalayati manasas teja-sindūra-mūrtim | yogīndrair brahmarandraiḥ sakala-guṇamayaṃ śrīharendreṇa saṅgaṃ / gaṃ gaṃ gaṃ gaṃ gaṇeśaṃ gajamukham abhito vyāpakaṃ cintayanti ||

“ॐ ॐ ॐ” — जो ओंकार-रूप हैं, तीनों अवस्थाओं से परे जिनका तुरीय परम स्वरूप है, जो त्रिगुणातीत लीलावाले हैं — योगीन्द्र ब्रह्मरन्ध्र के द्वारा मन के तेज में उनकी सिन्दूरवर्ण मूर्ति का चिन्तन करते हैं; “गं गं गं गं” — सकल गुणमय, श्री और हरीन्द्र के संग विराजते गजमुख गणेश का सर्वत्र व्यापक रूप में ध्यान करते हैं।
Oṃ — whose nature is the very form of Oṃkāra, the transcendent fourth (turīya) beyond the three states; whose divine play surpasses the three guṇas, whose form in the mind is radiant as sindūra — all-quality-filled, in the company of Śrī, Hara and Indra: with the bīja Gaṃ, yogis contemplate this all-pervading elephant-faced Gaṇeśa in the brahmarandhra.
वं वं वं विघ्नराजं भजति निजभुजे दक्षिणे न्यस्तशुण्डं क्रं क्रं क्रं क्रोधमुद्रादलितरिपुबलं कल्पवृक्षस्य मूले । दं दं दं दन्तमेकं दधति मुनिमुखं कामधेन्वा निषेव्यं धं धं धं धारयन्तं धनदमतिधियं सिद्धिबुद्धिद्वितीयम् ॥ २॥

“वं वं वं” — साधक उन विघ्नराज को भजता है जो अपनी दाहिनी भुजा पर सूँड़ रखे हैं; “क्रं क्रं क्रं” — क्रोध-मुद्रा से शत्रु-बल का दलन करनेवाले, कल्पवृक्ष के मूल में विराजमान; “दं दं दं” — एकदन्त धारण करनेवाले, मुनियों में मुख्य, कामधेनु से सेवित; “धं धं धं” — धन देनेवाले, परम बुद्धिमान, सिद्धि-बुद्धि जिनके संग हैं — उन्हें हृदय में धारण करता है।
With Vaṃ — one worships the Lord of Obstacles, his trunk resting on his right arm; with Kraṃ — the one whose wrathful mudrā-gesture crushes the power of enemies, seated at the base of the wish-granting tree. With Daṃ — bearer of a single tusk and the face of a sage, served by the wish-granting Kāmadhenu; with Dhaṃ — the sustainer, giver of wealth, of supreme intellect, with Siddhi and Buddhi as his two companions.
तुं तुं तुं तुङ्गरूपं गगनपथि गतं व्याप्नुवन्तं दिगन्तान् क्लीं क्लीं क्लींकारनाथं गलितमदमिलल्लोलमत्तालिमालम् । ह्रीं ह्रीं ह्रींकारपिङ्गं सकलमुनिवरध्येयमुण्डं च शुण्डं श्रीं श्रीं श्रीं श्रीं श्रयन्तं निखिलनिधिकुलं नौमि हेरम्बबिम्बम् ॥ ३॥

“तुं तुं तुं” — उन्नत रूपवाले, आकाश-मार्ग में जाकर दिशाओं के छोरों तक व्याप्त होनेवाले; “क्लीं क्लीं” — क्लींकार के नाथ, जिनके चूते मद पर मतवाले भौंरों की चंचल मालाएँ मँडराती हैं; “ह्रीं ह्रीं” — ह्रींकार-स्वरूप, पिंगल वर्ण, समस्त मुनिश्रेष्ठों के ध्येय मस्तक और सूँड़वाले; “श्रीं श्रीं श्रीं श्रीं” — समस्त निधियों के कुल के आश्रय — उन हेरम्ब के बिम्ब-स्वरूप को मैं नमन करता हूँ।
With Tuṃ — the lofty one who has entered the sky's path, pervading all directions to their very ends; with Klīṃ — the lord of Klīṃkāra, his swaying garland of drunken bees dripping with ichor. With Hrīṃ — tawny with the hue of Hrīṃkāra, meditated upon by all great sages, round-bellied and trunked; with Śrīṃ — to whom all the lineages of treasure-houses turn for refuge: I bow to the very image of Heramba.
लौं लौं लौंकारमाद्यं प्रणवमिव पदं मन्त्रमुक्तावलीनां शुद्धं विघ्नेशबीजं शशिकरसदृशं योगिनां ध्यानगम्यम् । डं डं डं डामरूपं दलितभवभयं सूर्यकोटिप्रकाशं यं यं यं यज्ञनाथं जपति मुनिवरो बाह्यमभ्यन्तरं च ॥ ४॥
lauṃ lauṃ lauṃkāra-mādyaṃ praṇavam iva padaṃ mantra-muktāvalīnāṃ / śuddhaṃ vighneśa-bījaṃ śaśikara-sadṛśaṃ yogināṃ dhyāna-gamyam | ḍaṃ ḍaṃ ḍaṃ ḍāma-rūpaṃ dalita-bhava-bhayaṃ sūrya-koṭi-prakāśaṃ / yaṃ yaṃ yaṃ yajña-nāthaṃ japati munivaraḥ bāhyam abhyantaraṃ ca ||

“लौं लौं लौं” — यह लौंकार मन्त्र-मुक्तावलियों का आदि पद है, प्रणव के समान; यह शुद्ध विघ्नेश-बीज चन्द्र-किरण-सा शीतल और योगियों के ध्यान से ही गम्य है; “डं डं डं” — डमरु-नाद-रूप, भव-भय का दलन करनेवाले, करोड़ों सूर्यों के प्रकाशवाले; “यं यं यं” — उन यज्ञनाथ का मुनिश्रेष्ठ बाहर-भीतर सर्वत्र जप करता है।
With Lauṃ — the foremost of all, like the Praṇava among the pearl-garlands of all mantras, the pure seed-syllable of Vighneśa, bright as moonbeams, accessible only through yogic meditation; with Ḍaṃ — of the rope-binding form, destroyer of the fear of worldly existence, blazing as ten million suns; with Yaṃ — the Lord of sacrifice: thus the great sage chants outwardly and within.
हुं हुं हुं हेमवर्णं श्रुतिगणितगुणं शूर्पकर्णं कृपालुं ध्येयं सूर्यस्य बिम्बं ह्युरसि च विलसत् सर्पयज्ञोपवीतम् । स्वाहा हुं फट् नमोऽन्तैष्ठ-ठ-ठ-ठ-सहितैः पल्लवैः सेव्यमानं मन्त्राणां सप्तकोटिप्रगुणितमहिमाधारमीशं प्रपद्ये ॥ ५॥
huṃ huṃ huṃ hema-varṇaṃ śruti-gaṇita-guṇaṃ śūrpa-karṇaṃ kṛpāluṃ / dhyeyaṃ sūryasya bimbaṃ hy urasi ca vilasat sarpa-yajñopavītam | svāhā huṃ phaṭ namo'ntaiḥ ṭha-ṭha-ṭha-ṭha-sahitaiḥ pallavaiḥ sevyamānaṃ / mantrāṇāṃ sapta-koṭi-praguṇita-mahimādhāram īśaṃ prapadye ||

“हुं हुं हुं” — स्वर्ण-वर्णवाले, वेदों में जिनके गुण गाये गये हैं, सूप-से कानोंवाले, कृपालु; जिनका ध्येय रूप सूर्य के बिम्ब-सा है और वक्ष पर सर्प का यज्ञोपवीत चमकता है; “स्वाहा”, “हुं”, “फट्”, “नमः” — इन अन्तोंवाले तथा “ठ-ठ-ठ-ठ” सहित मन्त्र-पल्लवों से सेवित; सात करोड़ मन्त्रों की बहुगुणित महिमा के आधार उन ईश की मैं शरण लेता हूँ।
With Huṃ — golden-hued, whose qualities are enumerated in the Vedas, fan-eared, compassionate, to be meditated upon as the solar disc, with a serpent gleaming as his sacred thread on his chest: I take refuge in this Lord who is served by the mantra-sprouts — Svāhā, Huṃ, Phaṭ, Namaḥ — together with the fourfold Ṭha, the very foundation of the glory of seventy million mantras.
पूर्वं पीठं त्रिकोणं तदुपरिरुचिरं षट्कपत्रं पवित्रं यस्योर्ध्वं शुद्धरेखा वसुदलकमलं वा स्वतेजश्चतुस्रम् । मध्ये हुङ्कारबीजं तदनु भगवतः स्वाङ्गषट्कं षडंशे अष्टौ शक्तीश्च सिद्धीर्बहुलगणपतिर्विष्टरश्चाष्टकं च ॥ ६॥
pūrvaṃ pīṭhaṃ trikoṇaṃ tad-upari ruciraṃ ṣaṭka-patraṃ pavitraṃ / yasyordhvaṃ śuddha-rekhā vasudala-kamalaṃ vā svatejas-catusram | madhye huṃkāra-bījaṃ tad anu bhagavataḥ svāṅga-ṣaṭkaṃ ṣaḍ-aṃśe / aṣṭau śaktīś ca siddhīr bahula-gaṇapatir viṣṭaraś cāṣṭakaṃ ca ||
poorvaṃ pīṭhaṃ trikoṇaṃ tad-upari ruchiraṃ shaṭka-patraṃ pavitraṃ / yasyordhvaṃ shuddha-rekhā vasudala-kamalaṃ vā svatejas-chatusram / madhye huṃkāra-bījaṃ tad anu bhagavataḥ svāṅga-shaṭkaṃ shaḍ-aṃshe / ashtau shaktīsh cha siddhīr bahula-gaṇapatir vishtarash chāshtakaṃ cha
(यन्त्र-विधान) — पहले त्रिकोण पीठ, उसके ऊपर सुन्दर, पवित्र षट्दल; उसके ऊपर शुद्ध रेखा, आठ दलों का कमल अथवा स्वतेज से युक्त चतुष्कोण; मध्य में हुंकार-बीज, फिर भगवान के छह अंग छह अंशों में; आठ शक्तियाँ, आठ सिद्धियाँ, बहुल-गणपति, आसन और अष्टक — इस प्रकार उनका यन्त्र जानें।
First [visualise] the base triangle; above it the beautiful pure six-petalled lotus; above that a pure line, then an eight-petalled lotus or a four-cornered figure of self-luminous radiance. In the centre, the Huṃkāra seed-syllable; then the Lord's six limbs arranged in six divisions; eight Śaktis and eight Siddhis — the great Gaṇapati enthroned on the viṣṭara seat — this is the complete eightfold yantra.
धर्माद्यष्टौ प्रसिद्धा दशदिशि विदिता वा ध्वजाल्यः कपालं तस्य क्षेत्रादिनाथं मुनिकुलमखिलं मन्त्रमुद्रामहेशम् । एवं यो भक्तियुक्तो जपति गणपतिं पुष्पधूपाऽक्षताद्यैर्नैवेद्यैर्मोदकानां स्तुतियुतविलसद्गीतवादित्रनादैः ॥ ७॥
dharmādy-aṣṭau prasiddhā daśa-diśi viditā vā dhvajālyaḥ kapālaṃ / tasya kṣetrādi-nāthaṃ munikula-m-akhilaṃ mantra-mudrā-maheśam | evaṃ yo bhakti-yukto japati gaṇapatiṃ puṣpa-dhūpākṣatādyair / naivedyair modakānāṃ stuti-yuta-vilasad-gīta-vāditra-nādaiḥ ||
dharmādy-ashtau prasiddhā dasha-dishi viditā vā dhvajālyaḥ kapālaṃ / tasya kshétrādi-nāthaṃ munikula-m-akhilaṃ mantra-mudrā-mahesham / evaṃ yo bhakti-yukto japati gaṇapatiṃ pushpa-dhūpākshatādyair / naivedyair modakānāṃ stuti-yuta-vilasad-gīta-vāditra-nādaiḥ
धर्म आदि आठ प्रसिद्ध शक्तियाँ, दसों दिशाओं में विख्यात ध्वजा-पंक्तियाँ, कपाल, उस क्षेत्र आदि के नाथ, समस्त मुनिकुल और मन्त्र-मुद्राओं के महेश्वर — इस प्रकार जो भक्तियुक्त होकर पुष्प, धूप, अक्षत आदि से, मोदकों के नैवेद्य से, और स्तुति-सहित गूँजते गीत-वाद्यों की ध्वनि से गणपति की उपासना करता है —
The eight [powers] beginning with Dharma, known in all ten directions — the banner-array and skull-bowl — he is the Lord of sacred fields and more, the great Lord of mantras and mudrās worshipped by the entire assembly of sages. Thus, whoever is filled with devotion and chants Gaṇapati with flowers, incense, akṣata rice and other offerings, with modaka sweets as naivedya, with praises, shining songs and the sounds of instruments —
राजानस्तस्य भृत्या इव युवतिकुलं दासवत् सर्वदास्ते लक्ष्मीः सर्वाङ्गयुक्ता श्रयति च सदनं किङ्कराः सर्वलोकाः । पुत्राः पुत्र्यः पवित्रा रणभुवि विजयी द्यूतवादेऽपि वीरो यस्येषो विघ्नराजो निवसति हृदये भक्तिभाग्यस्य रुद्रः ॥ ८॥
rājānas tasya bhṛtyā iva yuvati-kulaṃ dāsavat sarvadāste / lakṣmīḥ sarvāṅga-yuktā śrayati ca sadanaṃ kiṃkarāḥ sarvalokāḥ | putrāḥ putryaḥ pavitrā raṇa-bhuvi vijayī dyūta-vāde'pi vīraḥ / yasyeṣo vighnarājo nivasati hṛdaye bhakti-bhāgyasya rudraḥ ||
rājānas tasya bhriṭyā iva yuvati-kulaṃ dāsavat sarvadāste / lakshmīḥ sarvāṅga-yuktā shrayati cha sadanaṃ kiṃkarāḥ sarvalokāḥ / putrāḥ putryaḥ pavitrā raṇa-bhuvi vijayī dyoota-vāde'pi vīraḥ / yasyésho vighnarājo nivasati hridaye bhakti-bhāgyasya rudraḥ
उसके लिए राजा सेवकों-से और युवती-समुदाय दासों-सा हो जाता है; सर्वांग-सम्पन्ना लक्ष्मी उसके घर में वास करती हैं और समस्त लोक उसके किंकर हो जाते हैं; उसके पुत्र-पुत्रियाँ पवित्र होते हैं; वह रणभूमि में विजयी और वाद-विवाद में भी वीर होता है — जिस भक्ति-भाग्यशाली के हृदय में ये रुद्र-स्वरूप विघ्नराज निवास करते हैं।
— kings serve him like attendants; the community of young women attend him like handmaidens; Lakṣmī, perfect in all her limbs, comes to dwell in his house; all the worlds act as his servants. His sons and daughters are pure; he is victorious on the battlefield and heroic even in debate: in the heart of such a one, blessed with the good fortune of devotion, dwells this Vighnarāja who is Rudra himself.
Phala Śruti
गणेशस्तोत्रमिदं पुण्यं प्रातरुत्थाय यः पठेत् । तस्य सर्वाणि कार्याणि सिद्धिं यान्ति ह्यसंशयम् ॥ ९॥
gaṇeśa-stotram idaṃ puṇyaṃ prātar utthāya yaḥ paṭhet | tasya sarvāṇi kāryāṇi siddhiṃ yānti hy asaṃśayam ||

जो प्रातः उठकर इस पुण्यमय गणेश-स्तोत्र का पाठ करता है, उसके समस्त कार्य निःसन्देह सिद्ध हो जाते हैं।
Whoever rises at dawn and recites this sacred Gaṇeśa hymn — all his endeavours shall certainly attain fulfilment, without any doubt.
