The seven sacred utterances: Earth (Bhuh), Mid-space (Bhuvah), Heaven (Svah), the Great realm (Mahah), the world of beings (Janah), the world of austerity (Tapah), and Truth (Satyam).

ॐ भूः भुवः स्वः — हम उस वरेण्य सवितृ देव के तेज का ध्यान करते हैं; वे हमारी बुद्धियों को (सन्मार्ग में) प्रेरित करें।
Om — Earth, Mid-space, and Heaven. We meditate on the supreme radiance of the divine Sun (Savitṛ). May that light illuminate and inspire our intellects.
