oṃ jaya gaṃge mātā, maiyā jaya gaṃge mātā।
jo nara tumako dhyātā, manavāṃchita phala pātā॥

Om jai Gange mata, maiya jai Gange mata |
Jo nar tumko dhyata, manvanchit phal pata ||

Om, victory to Mother Ganga, Mother — victory to Mother Ganga! The person who meditates on You obtains the fruit of his heart's desire.

candra-sī jyoti tumhārī, jala nirmala ātā।
śaraṇa paṛe jo terī, so nara tara jātā॥

Chandra-si jyoti tumhari, jal nirmal ata |
Sharan pade jo teri, so nar tar jata ||

Your radiance is like the moon, Your pure water flows; whoever takes refuge with You, that person crosses over the ocean of existence.

putra sagara ke tāre, saba jaga ko jñātā।
kṛpā dṛṣṭi ho tumhārī, tribhuvana sukha dātā॥

Putr Sagar ke tare, sab jag ko gyata |
Kripa drishti ho tumhari, tribhuvan sukh data ||

You delivered the sons of Sagara — all the world knows this; when Your gracious glance falls, You are the giver of joy to the three worlds.

eka bāra jo prāṇī, śaraṇa terī ātā।
yama kī trāsa miṭākara, paramagati pātā॥

Ek bar jo prani, sharan teri ata |
Yam ki tras mitakar, paramgati pata ||

The being who but once comes to take refuge with You — his terror of Yama erased — attains the supreme state.

āratī mātu tumhārī, jo nara nita gātā।
sevaka vahī sahaja meṃ, mukti ko pātā॥

Aarti matu tumhari, jo nar nit gata |
Sevak vahi sahaj mein, mukti ko pata ||

Whoever sings this aarti of You, O Mother, every day — that servant easily attains liberation.
